As of July 22, a new webcam mounted atop the Dnister Premier Hotel on 6 Mateyka St. in Lviv will begin providing unparalleled views of the historic Old City to web audiences worldwide.
The Dnister Premier Hotel already provides its guests with some of the best views of Lviv from its location on a hill overlooking Ivan Franko Park, but the new webcam will now provide out-of-town audiences with a bird’s eye panorama of the Old City. The webcam will look out from the Panorama Bar on the hotel’s ninth floor, and images from it will be available at the Dnister Hotel website, http://dnister.lviv.ua/en/about/web-camera, and at www.lvivonline.com.
The City of Lviv has become a trendy new destination for weekend tourists across Europe, meaning the webcam holds tremendous practical value for travellers and holiday planners in terms of expected city views, local weather conditions and more. And with more and more travellers using the web to plan their vacations and weekend trips, the usefulness of the Dnister Hotel’s new webcam will be immediately felt.
Dnister Premier Hotel management are looking to promote their city as a travel destination to the rest of Ukraine and to the world. Sales & Marketing Director Tanya Podgoretska of Premier International Ltd., the hotel’s management company, said, “Tourism development has become one of the three main points of our new social responsibility programme.
“We feel we need to support Ukrainians in their endeavours to travel and to learn more about their country. We also want to encourage foreign tourists to visit Ukraine more often and feel completely at home here. Ukraine has many things to offer, and this new webcam for Lviv should go a long way in bringing our Happy World Programme to life”, Podgoretska added.
